Il Bussetto for LEMAIRE

This line of accessories is the fruit of a collaboration between LEMAIRE and Il Bussetto, an Italian company specialized in leather goods, which dates back from 2013 when the first TACCO bag was presented during a show. This season, three models have been handcrafted in vegetable-tanned leather with a compact, smooth finish: a cartridge bag, a card holder, and an Airpods case. The moulded technique involved in the assembling of these pieces is a traditional savoir-faire dear to LEMAIRE and Il Bussetto. This distinctive method allows the production of small leather goods whose curved and complex shape is obtained by pressing the fabric on moulds. It results in pieces sensitive to the asperities of the hand that make them, sometimes devoid of any seams or reinforcements.

Each object is hand-painted in natural colours, then waxed and polished, again by hand, giving it a distinctive shine. All three models mentioned above feature a magnetic closure and an embossed LEMAIRE logo on the outside back. The Airpods case holder and the Small Cartridge bag , inspired by the design of a “cartouchière”, can be worn on the shoulder or cross-body thanks to an adjustable, removable strap.
